Coronavirus Response Updates

Dear Parents, Students and Faculty:

The Conservatory is continuing to follow developments with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and I would like to update you on a temporary policy change we are making for the safety of all staff, faculty, students and families and with an eye toward ensuring business continuity. There is a great deal of uncertainty around this virus, and our actions are being driven out of an abundance of caution with the priority of protecting the health and well-being of our school.

If You Are Sick

If you or a student is sick or presenting cold or flu symptoms, please stay home at this time.   Please notify The Conservatory of the absence by calling 215-340-7979 or by canceling the appointment through your Pike account.

For additional information about common symptoms, please see the links below:

Prevention

As a reminder, the CDC recommends taking everyday preventive measures to stop the spread of germs. Here are a few actions to take:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Practice social distancing
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the waste basket.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Conservatory Facilities

The Conservatory is disinfecting all surfaces daily.  There is plenty of soap and paper towels available for washing hands located in all restrooms, the art room and the kitchen on the 2nd floor.

This situation is evolving, and we will continue to monitor events as they unfold.  We will make any adjustments in policies or operations as needed to protect our staff, faculty, students and families.

We understand this is a concerning time for everyone but we remind you that at this time there are no confirmed cases in Bucks County.  At this time The Conservatory is open for all lessons and classes. Please know the safety of our Conservatory community is our top priority, and we will follow the guidance of health experts at the CDC, WHO, and various local organizations.

If you have specific questions, please feel free to call me at 215-340-7979.
Sincerely,
Rachael Gallagher
