Making Art Together  $115

This class is designed to give a creative art experience to parent/caregiver (mommy, daddy, nanny, granny, etc.) and child together.  Through a variety of art materials, participants will create fun and exciting works of art in a supportive friendly group setting.  It’s a great way to stimulate the imagination and creativity. Parent/caregiver participation required. This class is all about fun for everyone.  No art experience necessary. NO MORE ENROLLMENTS

 

More than Doodles   $115

Ages: 4-6 yrs

Give your young budding artist the opportunity to learn about drawing.  Students will look at illustrations from favorite books to learn about basic drawing concepts – line, shape color and form.  Students will use pencil, colored pencils, pastels and watercolor to create unique works of art.  All art materials provided. Mixed Media Drawing   $140

Ages: 7-11 yrs

By combining a variety of drawing materials such as pencil, pastel, charcoal, pen and other drawing media students will create colorful masterpieces.  Everyone is encouraged to experiment with processes and ideas to create their imaginative works.  This is a great class to expand skills, take risks and grow as artists.  Students who participated in our Winter session are encouraged to sign up again to continue to build on the skills already learned. Clay Hand and Wheel  $185

Students learn the beauty of clay through various projects ranging from functional pottery to decorative art and sculpture.  They will get to experience the potter’s wheel while exploring form, texture and glazing.  All clay materials and firings included.   NO MORE ENROLLMENTS

 
Kids Pottery Wheel Coaching   $75

We have expanded our curriculum to include a 3 week, 45-minute session of individual instruction on the potter’s wheel. Take the extra time for a personal hands-on experience to help enhance your basic throwing skills and techniques. Workshop includes clay, firings, and glazing. Only 2 students per session will be admitted into the workshop and students must be enrolled in the Clay, Hand and Wheel class.

Life Drawing Open Studio  $10/session

Landscape Painting Class  $200
Instructor: Jas Szygiel
Bring your own paints, brushes and canvases and jump into an exciting class that helps you achieve an independent and personal vision of how to paint landscapes. You only need basic and fundamental ability in art and painting to qualify for the class. This class is geared to address each student at their individual ability level and how to improve upon it. The class will help you develop a unique and personal approach to painting. The class will reinforce painting, color and composition fundamentals with an emphasis on contrary and alternate approaches to help broaden your artistic vision. Work side by side with fellow artists and participate in group critiques in a congenial atmosphere. Fundamentals of Oil Painting  $225

5 Thursdays: 5/25, 6/1, 6/8, 6/15 and 6/22
Learn to handle oil paints, brushes and mediums with ease while learning about composition and color.  This class is designed for those with some drawing skills who want to develop or improve oil painting skills.  Using color studies and still life set-ups we will learn how to identify and paint the hues and values of colors.  We will explore form, light and composition.  The techniques you learn can then be applied to any subject: still life, landscape or figurative.  A materials list will be provided.  NO MORE ENROLLMENTS

 
Fundamentals of Drawing  $225

Ages:  High School students - Adult
Time:  9:30am – 12:00pm
5 Thursdays: 4/6, 4/13/ 4/20, 4/27 and 5/4
Do you wish you could draw but fear you can't even draw a straight line? Or maybe you love to draw and paint but need to fill in some gaps in your skills.  Then let's work together to build a strong foundation.  You'll learn to "see" what's in front of you, rendering it more accurately with lines, shapes and values.  Working with charcoal and pencil, we'll practice drawing from still life set ups geared to your level.  You'll be amazed at your progress in just 6 weeks.  A list of basic drawing supplies will be provided.  NO MORE ENROLLMENTS

 
Oil Painting the Landscape $285
Instructor: Dot Bunn
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
8 Wednesdays: 3/29, 4/5, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17
Students will work from a supplied Bucks County Landscape image to create a painting that has good composition and color harmony. This class is appropriate for those interested in learning the principles and techniques of the indirect method of painting.  We will complete a painting by drawing the composition, transferring the image, working out value relationships and carefully selecting a color palette. Looking for something fun to do in Doylestown?  Try our Paint and Sip night.  In this friendly and relaxed night of creativity, you’ll enjoy your favorite drink while professional artist Barbara Lewis guides you step by step through the process of painting your own work of art to take home.  No experience necessary.  Just a willingness to have fun.  Come solo and meet new people or bring your friends.  All art materials, napkins and cups provided. Bring your beverage of choice and snacks.  You’ll be amazed what you can do!
